Product Advantages
Dual‑band infrared detection filters interference from lamps and sunlight to minimize false alarms
Dual relay outputs: fire alarm & fault monitoring for upper‑system status supervision
Wide temperature range, suitable for high‑/low‑temperature industrial sites
Low‑power design for long‑term continuous operation
Passive dry‑contact output compatible with most fire panels, PLC and alarm controllers
Simple structure for easy installation & wiring
Detects early open flame, insensitive to ordinary smoke
Working Principle
Open fire radiates infrared light of specific wavelengths with regular flicker. JTG‑IR‑BS10 is equipped with two infrared sensors to collect flame spectrum and flicker features. Internal MCU algorithm analyzes signals and filters interference from lamp light and sunlight. Alarm relay triggers once flame signature is confirmed. Fault relay activates when sensing windows are contaminated or hardware failure occurs.
Application Scenarios
‑ Industrial boiler rooms & heat‑treatment workshops
‑ Spraying, coating and chemical workshops
‑ Oil & gas storage areas, pump houses
‑ Ship engine rooms & hazardous cabins
‑ Waste treatment stations, energy storage power stations
‑ Protection for drying equipment and kilns
‑ Warehouses and flammable‑material storage zones
Maintenance
1. Regularly clean sensing windows from dust and grease; contamination leads to reduced sensitivity or fault
alerts
2. Conduct quarterly function test to verify alarm & fault output circuits
3. Tighten terminal screws periodically to avoid loose connection caused by vibration
4. Do NOT clean housing with strong solvent; use clean soft cloth only
5. Avoid long‑term direct sunlight onto sensing windows to prevent false alarms
6. If frequent fault occurs, clean windows first; replace unit if cleaning does not resolve issue
Spare Parts
1. Complete JTG‑IR‑BS10 detector unit (main replacement spare part)
2. Mounting screw kit
3. Terminal accessories
Note: Separate sensor module is not available. Replace whole unit in case of sensor damage.
Acceptance
1. Power‑on check: After DC24V power supply, no fault output, unit stays in standby
2. Wiring check: Correct power polarity, no short‑circuit; no high‑voltage connected to relay dry contacts
3. Function test: Apply flame test source, detector shall trigger alarm output within specified response time
4. Fault simulation: Cover sensing windows, unit shall send fault signal
5. Mechanical check: Firm installation; sensing windows face monitored area without blockage
6. Document check: Model & specifications match purchase requirements
FAQ
Q1: Why does the detector give frequent false alarms?
① Direct sunlight or high‑temperature heat source shining on sensing windows; ② Nearby strong infrared light sources; ③ Wrong mounting angle.
Solution: Relocate unit away from direct heat and strong light.
Q2: Device keeps sending fault signal?
① Dust/grease covering sensing windows; ② Loose wiring; ③ Hardware damage.
Solution: Clean windows and tighten terminals; replace whole unit if fault persists.
Q3: Can I connect 220V sounder directly?
No. Output is passive dry contact with max rating 1A/30VDC. An intermediate relay is required for 220V load isolation.
Q4: How to understand detection distance?
Detection distance depends on flame size. Rated distance is based on standard open‑fire source; smaller flame leads to shorter effective range.
Q5: Can this detector detect smoke?
No. It is a flame detector only for open‑fire infrared signal, not sensitive to smoke.
Q6: Will reverse power supply burn the unit?
Strictly distinguish 24V positive & negative. Reverse polarity will stop device operation and may damage internal circuit over time.
