Routine Maintenance Guidelines
1. Standard Replacement Cycle
Normal navigation condition: Replace every 2000 running hours or 6 months (whichever comes first)
Severe working condition (new engine running-in, long-distance ocean voyage, heavily contaminated oil): Replace every 1000~1500 running hours or 3 months
Immediate mandatory replacement when differential pressure alarm activates, oil emulsifies, filter housing enters water or filter paper breaks
2. Daily Shift Inspection
Check filter differential pressure gauge record every watch; rising pressure means clogged filter, arrange replacement in advance
Visual check for oil leakage at flange, end cap and seal position
Monitor hydraulic oil operating temperature; shorten replacement cycle if temperature stays above 60℃ continuously
3. Standard Replacement Operation Steps
Isolate the filter by closing inlet & outlet valves, fully release internal pressure via air vent valve before disassembly.
Lift out used filter vertically by the stainless steel handle to prevent internal contaminants falling into filter housing.
Thoroughly wipe and flush housing cavity to clear sediment and metal debris, no cotton waste left inside.
Discard old O-rings and install brand-new sealing rings, coat thin clean hydraulic oil on rings for lubrication.
Unpack new filter, hold the handle and place vertically into housing, ensure full fit of top & bottom seals.
Fasten end cap bolts evenly, open inlet valve slowly and bleed all air inside housing; run system without load for 5 mins to
recheck pressure and leakage.
4. Spare Filter Storage Rules
Store standby filters in dry, dust-free marine spare parts storage room to avoid damp and salt fog.
Keep original sealed package intact before installation; install within 72 hours once package opened.
Do not stack heavy goods on filters to prevent deformation of stainless steel cage and crease filter paper.
